About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Associate to join our Office Services team at alliantgroup, LP. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workspace within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare conference rooms for important meetings and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Clean and stock common room areas, including the kitchen, cafeteria, lobby, and break room.
  • Monitor, clean, and service washrooms to ensure a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Respond to requests and remove litter and rubbish from main common rooms.
  • Maintain windows, glass, and common doors to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist in ordering supplies for facility maintenance and perform minor repairs and building improvements.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and services as required and advise the Manager regarding facility issues and problems.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in a related field, providing the required knowledge and abilities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of electronic devices and associated software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset.
  • Must be reliable, professional, and prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of standard methods, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment used in construction, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Carpentry, gardening, electrical, and mechanical systems, landscaping, plumbing, and heating and ventilation equipment.
  • Preventative maintenance methods and procedures.
  • Occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools skillfully and safely under various work conditions.
  • Recognize and correct unsafe working conditions.
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain complete and accurate written records.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with superiors, co-workers, contractors, vendors, and the general public.
Physical Effort

The work may involve occasional manual labor tasks and/or the operation of a variety of construction and maintenance equipment, as necessary. Requires the ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.

Working Conditions

The work is performed at a variety of work sites, including outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Work is usually done in a normal office environment.
