Construction Inspector

PRIME AE Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team in the Connecticut market. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

The primary function of this role will be to assist with the monitoring, inspection, and locating of sanitary sewer infrastructure within easements and right-of-way in support of land clearing operations and infrastructure location verification.

• Perform inspection services for oversight of the MDC's selected land clearing contractor.
• Provide GPS locational services for sewer infrastructure in the area of work, including center of manhole and top of frame.
• Support project activities by performing calculations, measurements, documentation, and other technical and engineering-related functions.
• Perform verification or acceptance testing of construction materials in the field or at the laboratory.
• Correspond with impacted stakeholders.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection.
• Certifications such as ConnDOT, NICET, etc. preferred.
• A valid drivers' license.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic within a group dynamic.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written.
• Be flexible in work assignments, workdays, and hours.
• Work effectively with office staff, client representatives, and contractors.
• Work safely in traffic and/or on construction sites.
