About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As an experienced imaging professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Job Summary

This position involves performing diagnostic MRI exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, verifying patient identity, and reviewing medical records for appropriateness. You will also be responsible for explaining procedures to patients, setting up equipment, and acquiring images as per script. Additionally, you will review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI exams using various imaging modalities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for appropriateness
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks, benefits, and alternatives
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Life Support certification
