Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled BMS Controls Technician to join our team in the Boston market. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of BMS controls for commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission BMS control systems, including wiring, programming, and sensor calibration.
  • Integrate BMS with building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and security for optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with BMS controls, providing prompt support to minimize system downtime.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on BMS systems to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and modify control programs to meet project requirements, configuring user interfaces, setting up alarms, and creating reports.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support, offering training to facility staff on BMS operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, adhering to company standards and client requirements.
  • Promote safety guidelines and regulations while performing fieldwork, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, HVAC, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with BMS or building automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and networking.
  • Proficiency in BMS platforms such as Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell.
  • Experience with programming languages used in BMS, such as BACnet, Modbus, or LON.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Estimated Salary: $55-$70 per hour
