Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Customer Support Specialist to be part of our Rotech team.
In this role, you will assist customers of the Support Center (patients, referral sources, and employees) by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement.
You will primarily handle new order intake, ensuring accuracy in clinical, billing, and care-related information and processing. You will be the first point of contact for new customers.Compensation starts at $15 per hour, with opportunities for increased earnings based on relevant experience.
HYBRID SCHEDULE (3 days remote, 2 days in-office) with completion of IN-OFFICE TRAINING and meeting performance expectations with management approval.

- Propose ideas for process or efficiency enhancements to the supervisor.
- Cultivate relationships with locations, field management, patients, and referral sources.
- Certain tasks will involve outbound calling and data entry.
- Collect co-pays and deductible amounts.
- Verify insurance eligibility for services/products.
- Conduct patient satisfaction calls and act as a patient advocate to address questions or concerns.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines.
- Stay informed about current products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations.
- Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout patient interactions and data entry.
- Manage all aspects of initial intake: answering calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into IMBS and eIntake, printing tickets, assembling charts, and processing paperwork.
- Obtain authorization and qualification documentation.
- Prepare complete and accurate files for the Billing Department.
- Process new orders, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, or escalate to appropriate personnel promptly to ensure satisfaction among patients, referral sources, and employees.
- Process work orders to field locations and coordinate timely fulfillment of products and services ordered.
- Educate referral sources, patients, and employees on service qualifications and third-party billing.
- Provide product/service information by answering questions and offering assistance.
- Offer technical support to customers as needed.
- Conduct thorough reviews and Quality Assurance for medical necessity and documentation requirements of payors and regulatory bodies.
- Work extensively with the eIntake proprietary system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Employment is contingent on:
- Background investigation (company-wide).
- Drug screening (when applicable for the position).
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position).
Required Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Experience with medical billing practices and reimbursement, preferred.
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management, preferred.
- One year of related work experience, preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual).
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
- Multi-task while paying attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, with time-management and deductive problem-solving skills.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Machines, Equipment, and Technical Abilities:
- Proficient in email communication.
- Internet navigation and research skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Competence with office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone, and computer and/or tablet.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry office equipment as needed.
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening.
- Requires close vision for small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork.
