Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to assigned areas and end-users by troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
  • Install and configure personal computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair on end-user and IT equipment.
  • Participate in various short-term projects as a participant or team leader.
  • Assess user requirements and automation needs.
  • Provide training to users on equipment and systems software.
  • Provide backup support for the network, including wireless, workstations, printers, and communication hardware and software.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and practices in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Attend technician meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales, or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment.
  • An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
  • Professional technical certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+) are preferred.
Working Conditions

The incumbent could be expected to bend, stoop, squat, or stand on hard surfaces for approximately 50% of the time. Individual could be expected to lift and move equipment weighing between 20 and 80 pounds for approximately 25% of the time.
