Job Title: Pack Off Machine Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pack Off Machine Operator to join our team at E.A. Sween Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating an Automated Case Packing Machine to package Ready to Eat Food, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the Automated Case Packing Machine to package finished products, adhering to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Assist with line changeovers, setup, and basic cleaning of the machine.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards, completing in-process inspections and ensuring case prints are correct.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and operate complex machinery.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally pull up to 100 pounds using a manual pallet jack.
  • Must be able to stand for 70% of the workday and walk for 70% of the workday.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a food industry environment or similar manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, weigh machines, metal detectors, baggers, and material handling systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical controls related to E.A. Sween packaging machinery.
