Position Summary:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in driving vehicle sales while achieving dealership objectives related to profitability, volume, and customer satisfaction. This position encompasses essential responsibilities in personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the significance of customer satisfaction in fostering a successful business.
  • Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through effective communication and attentive listening.
  • Facilitate vehicle demonstrations, including test drives.
  • Ensure seamless vehicle deliveries, providing detailed information on features, warranties, and necessary paperwork to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Establish personal income goals that align with dealership productivity standards and devise strategies to meet them.
  • Consistently update the Sales Manager on objectives, activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Stay informed about new inventory, features, and accessories to better assist customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department and body shop to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
  • Engage in sales meetings and training sessions organized by the dealership and manufacturers.
  • Maintain a systematic approach to developing prospects and follow-ups to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities to enhance time management and planning.
  • Remain knowledgeable about automotive industry terminology and technological advancements.
  • Clearly explain equity, values, and depreciation to customers.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
  • Introduce customers to the service department staff to showcase the quality and efficiency of available services.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and report incidents promptly to supervisors.
