Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at WellStar Douglas. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation
- Operate all aspects of radiographic equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
- Adjust technique to minimize patient radiation exposure and maintain image quality.
- Patient Care
- Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions.
- Follow established procedures for contrast media administration.
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper labeling of images.
- Quality Control
- Produce high-quality images, ensuring proper collimation, shielding, and technique selection.
- Check equipment for proper calibration and operating deficiencies before each use.
- Operations
- Restock linens and supplies, maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Transport patients, position them, and assist with procedures.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Radiography certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Less than 1 year entry-level to 5 years of experience as a Rad Tech preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure while participating in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
