Azusa Pacific University is seeking a skilled Locksmith Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing journeyman-level maintenance, inspections, repairs, and alterations of doors and hardware in the locksmith trade.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of locking systems, doors, and hardware
- Inspect and maintain all key systems, locks, and keyless entry systems throughout the university
- Lead, assist, and independently complete installation, repairs, and maintenance of building equipment and locking systems
- Maintain and oversee all functions of the locksmith shop, including computerized key logs and card access code databases
- Operate university vehicles, including vans, trucks, forklifts, and man-lift devices
- Maintain safe and clean work conditions in assigned areas
- Perform a variety of duties in maintenance of the university as requested by supervisor
- Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two to six years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid California driver's license and a copy of DMV driving record
- Proficient in Google Apps and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare complex reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers, faculty, staff, and students
- Work near moving mechanical parts, in high places, with fumes and airborne particles, in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Subject to noise and hazards of machinery, electrical current, and working on scaffolding and man-lifts
- Must be able to respond to university needs on off-hours as part of an on-call rotating schedule
Grade 10: $25.94-$33.72 hourly compensation, reflecting what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
