The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will engage in direct patient care while also managing various administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director. The overall clinical guidance will be provided by the Medical Director or their designee.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
The following duties are essential to the role and may be adjusted as necessary:
- Utilize sound medical judgment and adhere to ethical standards in the practice of medicine; recognize limitations and seek consultation when necessary; stay informed about current technologies and industry standards.
- Supervise and mentor staff technicians to foster continuous performance improvement.
- Fulfill all clinical responsibilities of the medical practice.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures; ensure the completion of operational tasks according to departmental guidelines for proper clinical processing and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and possess a valid license in the State of Colorado.
- Board Certification in the relevant specialty.
- Proficient computer skills; experience with Athena EMR is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care setting is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Regularly required to stand, use hands for handling, and communicate effectively.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, and perform tasks such as stooping or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
