Job Summary

Central Texas Refuse is seeking a skilled Class A Mechanic to join our team in Round Rock, TX. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures of company vehicles, including trucks, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on company assets according to supervisor direction.
  • Document repair operations and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures.
  • Requisition parts as necessary and conduct technical inspections.
  • Maintain repair order documentation, including repair description, parts used, and repair times.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Truck Mechanic or Diesel Engine Specialist.
  • Minimum High school diploma or GED.
  • Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
  • Experience in the trash disposal industry is a plus.
Work Environment

This role will be based in our mechanic shop and/or outside in all weather conditions. You must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
