Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse

Amergis is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to medically complex patients in a long-term acute setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care, supervising care and treatment, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care
- Responsible for providing care to medically complex patients
- Supervise care, treatment, and services of the patient(s)
- Document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions
- Maintain confidentiality at all times with patients, medical staff, and co-workers
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment
- Adhere to and support the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospital in an attempt to provide quality patient care
- Revises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in plan of care, and nursing interventions
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and facility policies and patient care outcome standards
- Identify and prioritize actions based upon patient care requirements
- Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices
- One (1) year nursing experience in a long-term acute care facility preferred
- Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care, cardiac, and stable post-trauma patients
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
