Job Summary

3M is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Boiler Operator to join our team. As an Assistant Boiler Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial boilers and supporting the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist shift engineers with plant operations, including monitoring and controlling boiler systems.
  • Perform various water chemistry tests on boilers, chilled water, cooling towers, and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist with boiler and chiller maintenance overhauls, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing equipment.
  • Contribute to general plant housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Hold a current State of Minnesota Second Class A Engineers License.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Pass the pre-employment Skilled Trades Test Battery.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • Proficient computer and communication skills.
