The Role

We're seeking an experienced Data Science Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, data-driven products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating machine learning models that drive business value, evaluating technical tradeoffs, performing code reviews, and ensuring exceptional code quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create machine learning models that drive value for users, advertisers, and the company.
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs and make informed decisions.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure exceptional code quality.
  • Build robust, lasting, and scalable products that iterate quickly without compromising quality.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
  • Able to prioritize duties and work well independently.
  • Ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Skilled at solving open, ambiguous problems.
  • Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning in industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience working with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.
  • Experience working with machine learning ranking infrastructures and system design.

Compensation:

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone, determining the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The base salary range for this position is $168,000-$252,000 annually in Zone A (CA, WA, NYC), $160,000-$239,000 annually in Zone B, and $143,000-$214,000 annually in Zone C. This position is also eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
