Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our Laboratory Operations team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy services, including specimen collection, receiving, and referrals. Key Responsibilities:
Perform phlebotomy services, including venipuncture, capillary collection, and urine drug screen collection
Ensure accurate and timely specimen collection, processing, and transportation
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety standards
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure seamless specimen processing and testing
Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance phlebotomy skills and knowledge
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a phlebotomy program preferred
One year of phlebotomy experience; certification from a national accredited program a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with medical terminology, computer data entry, and organizational systems
