Your Role as an MRI Technologist:

Under general supervision, your primary responsibilities will include performing neuro and body scans on patients across all age groups, adhering to the facility's age-specific guidelines. You will transmit images for diagnostic interpretation and maintain the hospital's computer system with exam progress updates. The MRI Technologist is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and foster respectful relationships while upholding the facility's principles.

Value You Bring to the Team:

  • Conduct all imaging exams following established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and educating patients about their procedures. Screen for any contrast allergies as necessary.
  • Complete exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing idle time. Ensure effective communication regarding patient transport and discharge.
  • Perform various imaging procedures safely and competently, operating all equipment including scanners and monitors. Adapt protocols as needed for patients of all ages.
  • Screen patients of childbearing age and operate imaging equipment safely to minimize radiation exposure. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Review all images and repeat as necessary to achieve optimal results. Notify physicians of any urgent findings following established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR)
  • State licensure where applicable
  • Associate's or Technical degree in a related field
