Position Overview: Tact Staff is in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) to fill a vital role in providing exceptional patient care.

- Shift Length: 12 hours
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Charge Nurse.
Position Summary: The travel nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse range of medical conditions and emergencies. The role requires efficient multitasking to ensure high-quality patient care, especially in critical situations. The nurse will support the emergency room team leader and acute care nurse as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid nursing license in California.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and CPR are required; NRP and TNCC must be obtained within one year of hire.

- Collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize care based on immediate needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer treatments as prescribed by physicians in a timely manner.
- Perform clinical tasks accurately, including EKGs, blood draws, and IV placements.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
- Document patient assessments and responses to interventions accurately.
- Initiate emergency protocols as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient diversity and rights.
Professional Expectations:
- Adhere to the dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Complete required educational and regulatory training.
- Participate in evaluations and meetings as required.
Working Conditions: Flexibility to work beyond standard hours and in various roles as needed.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients as required.
