About the Job
We are looking for a skilled CDL driver with experience in hauling lumber and other building materials. As a Logistics Specialist - CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods from our warehouse to customer locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods from our warehouse to customer locations.
- Deliver lumber and other building materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload cargo efficiently.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safe operation.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- At least 6 months of experience driving a tractor-trailer with a strong emphasis on safety and time management.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
