About the Role

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, using video and printed tools to educate parents about the importance of the screen.
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, as needed.
  • Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, following up on equipment issues, and training new staff.
  • Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, document hearing screen results accurately, and follow protocol for timely submission of billing.
  • Follow hospital, company, and program policies related to security, identification, infection control, and safety awareness.
  • Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience working with infants preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
