SFMF LLC, a reputable name in the auto body repair and painting industry, is on the lookout for motivated and reliable Paint Preparation Specialists to support our Paint Technicians in getting vehicles ready for painting. While prior experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory as we are willing to train individuals with the right mindset. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend shifts.
About Us: SFMF LLC has established itself as a leader in the auto painting and collision repair sector, having serviced millions of vehicles. We collaborate with all insurance providers and offer nationwide warranties on our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Paint Technicians in preparing vehicles for painting, which includes cleaning, sanding, masking, and other related tasks.
- Thoroughly wash vehicles to eliminate dirt, grease, and debris from surfaces.
- Prepare vehicles for repair by priming and sanding parts and panels.
- Identify and rectify imperfections on vehicle panels.
- Apply protective tape to areas that should not be painted, such as bumpers and windows.
- Smooth and sand areas that are not masked.
- Collaborate closely with Paint Technicians in mixing paint.
- After painting, remove tape and clean, wet-sand, and buff the newly painted surfaces.
- Inspect the quality of workmanship, noting any unprimed areas or imperfections.
- Prepare vehicles for delivery to customers.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Preferred experience in auto body sanding and masking; however, training will be provided.
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills with attention to detail.
- Capability to read and understand instructions and information.
- Familiarity with body shop tools and equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
