As an Environmental Remediation Specialist at Clean Harbors, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field sampling activities and calibration of meters to ensure accurate data collection
  • Operate light and heavy equipment, handling various hand tools and powered industrial tools
  • Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment
  • Work in varied weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines
  • Participate in compliance and safety update meetings

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a physical and background check
  • Previous labor experience preferred
  • Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call for emergency response situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with hazardous waste handling and disposal
