Job Title: Wound Care Specialist

VNS Health is seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for managing the wound management program, including monitoring systems, clinical orientation, and ongoing education and training programs for staff. You will also facilitate consistency in the dissemination of standardized clinical education policies, procedures, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the wound management software application and support the day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and deliver wound care specific clinical education programs to foster high-quality care.
  • Identify and communicate protocols and standards of care for a culturally and demographically diverse patient population.
  • Manage the implementation of clinical staff development programs, including orientation, in-services, training, and other learning activities.
  • Evaluate clinical outcomes data and analyze practice patterns to promote organizational responses that meet the needs of patients with specific complex and chronic illnesses.
Requirements:
  • Current License and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS required.
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science, Science in Nursing, Science in Education, or Science in Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in healthcare required.
  • Conversant in data interpretation and presentation required.
