Cumberland County Government is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of automobiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Valid State of Maine inspection license class A & E.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years or more working as an automotive mechanic.
  • Certifications essential to perform duties.
  • Ability to understand and carry out orders.
  • Federal license on air conditioning required or acquired within one (1) year.
  • Valid State of Maine drivers license.
