Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Merit 321. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing construction monitoring and on-site engineering observation for geotechnical and structural projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide construction monitoring and on-site engineering observation for geotechnical and structural projects
* Perform site reconnaissance to observe existing conditions and assess site access for subsurface explorations
* Conduct field investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with applicable ASTM standards
* Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses and compile, reduce, analyze, manage, and report field, instrumentation, geological data
* Use various geotechnical instrumentation and equipment
* Support preparation of written reports, proposals, cost estimates, and other client deliverables

Requirements:

* B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
* 0 to 3 years of related engineering experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer literacy skills, including all MS Office software
* Ability and interest in obtaining professional engineering registration
* Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable form of transportation
