Key Responsibilities- Client Support: Provide assistance to clients during their shift, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Orientation and Intake: Conduct orientation to new clients, reviewing safety procedures, exit routes, and first-aid kits. Assist with patient intakes and discharges, and support with crisis management.
- Transportation and Coordination: Coordinate and transport clients safely to daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and client safety.
- Intervention and Communication: Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, promoting a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
- Documentation: Utilize the electronic medical record (KIPU) to document client activities effectively, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Medication Management: Monitor and document client self-administration medications, coaching clients in self-management and documenting medications in accordance with organizational policy.
- Incident Reporting: Report any deficiencies or errors to direct supervisor and document incident reports as needed.
- Residence Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
- Observation and Documentation: Conduct observation rounds to ensure client safety, documenting client behavior and participation in treatment.
- Client Attendance: Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery/programming activities as scheduled.
- Intake and Discharge: Assist with intakes and discharges of clients according to Akua's policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, Emergency Management, and Environment of Care procedures.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification required.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid California driver's license required.
- RADT Certification: Current RADT certification required.
- Health Screen: Current health screen required.
- TB Clearance: Current TB clearance required.
- Professional Appearance and Attitude: Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude required.
- Professional Boundaries: Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Impeccable Ethics and Integrity: Impeccable ethics and integrity required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a health services field preferred, or high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
