Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Wholesale Cashier to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our frontline staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

About the Role
  • Provide top-notch customer service to members in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit clear understanding of all BJs Membership options, including renewals, upgrades, and loyalty programs.
  • Offer membership products such as renewal, EASY renewal option, BJs Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption.
  • Provide excellent customer service, checking members out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Scan merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals.
  • Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members.
  • Issue receipts or change due to members.
Requirements
  • BASIC MATH SKILLS PREFERRED.
  • Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
Working Conditions

The majority of time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There may be a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.

Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance.

Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
