Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Iberdrola Renewables, LLC. This role will involve managing the electrical engineering scope and supporting construction and commissioning activities for utility-scale onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy systems, including knowledge of turbine, inverter, and tracker specifications, GSU design and selection, solar module and inverter selection, battery systems, and collector system designs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage electrical system models using software such as PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, ETAP, and EasyPower.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with design standards and accuracy of final documentation and test data.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex construction issues and provide technical support to plant operations.
  • Lead the procurement process for external engineering resources and major electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and update Avangrid electrical design standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in detailed engineering design for BESS, wind, and solar projects.
  • Professional engineering license.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera, OPC, Visio, and AutoCad.
