Orthopedic Care Specialist

CentralCare Inc is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will provide critical support to our medical staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient care, including the application of pre-operative braces, crutches, and other soft goods.
- Prepare for and apply casts and orthopedic appliances, change dressings, and remove sutures, casts, and splints.
- Assist with orthopedic procedures, including wound care, aspirations, minor surgical procedures, fracture reductions, and instruct patients in cast and traction care.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked cast and soft goods room, ordering special supplies and equipment as needed.
- Coordinate data collection resources for the clinic information systems.
- Remain current with orthopedic trends, care, and supplies, performing other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional training or education in orthopedics.
- One year of related experience in an accredited healthcare hospital, with familiarity with hospital or clinic routines and procedures in orthopedics.
- Practical knowledge of examinations, equipment, and procedures to make necessary preparations and provide assistance to physicians.
- Practical knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to conditions involving orthopedic injuries, disorders, and conditions.
- Practical knowledge of safe and proper use and operation of specialized medical equipment.
- 11 paid holidays per year.
- 80 hours of accrued PTO per year.
- 56 hours of accrued sick leave per year.
