As a Medical-Surgical Nurse with CommonSpirit Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. Our Medical-Surgical departments have 32 beds per floor, with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including joint replacements, general surgery, gynecological procedures, and urology.
  • Collaborate with the Peri-Op team to ensure seamless patient placement and bed planning.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Manager and Clinical Coordinator/Educator to maintain a safe and efficient unit environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical and surgical procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Previous Medical/Surgical experience is preferred, but new graduates are also considered for residency positions.
  • Current RN license from the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association Certification.
