Position Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a crucial role in delivering specialized surgical care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management aimed at enhancing patient health outcomes. The APP is also responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns and medical inaccuracies.

Essential Qualifications:

For Advanced Practice Nurse (APN/NP):

  • Valid Advanced Practice Nurse License in New Jersey.
  • Current CDS, DEA, BLS & ACLS Certifications.
  • 1-3 years of relevant surgical experience.

For Physician Assistant:

  • Valid Physician Assistant License in New Jersey.
  • Current CDS, DEA, BLS & ACLS Certifications.
  • 1-3 years of relevant surgical experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in plastic surgery.
  • Background in general surgery.
  • Experience in ENT surgical procedures.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time Position
  • 40 hours per week
  • Evening shifts
  • Rotations on weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial evaluation of emergency room consults for plastic surgery.
  • Management and closure of wounds ranging from simple to complex.
  • Splinting of uncomplicated hand fractures.
  • Initial assessment and consultation for ENT services.
  • Performing interventions on ENT patients according to the APP's training and experience.
  • Management of conditions such as epistaxis, peritonsillar abscess, and upper airway evaluations.
