Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologist to enhance our medical team in the Fortuna, CA vicinity. This role provides a competitive compensation package along with performance-based bonuses and a robust benefits scheme. The ideal candidate will possess Board Eligibility or Board Certification (BE/BC) in Anesthesiology and must either hold or be prepared to secure a California medical license. The primary focus of this position is on administering anesthesia to adult patients, with very limited involvement in pediatric cases.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Administer anesthesia and oversee patient care during surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic interventions.
  2. Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and achieve optimal surgical outcomes.
  3. Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and modify anesthesia levels as required to maintain stability and comfort.
  4. Provide post-operative care and manage pain, including the prescription of suitable medications.
  5. Conduct preoperative evaluations and discussions with patients to formulate appropriate anesthesia strategies.
  6. Maintain thorough and precise documentation of patient care, adhering to medical standards and regulations.
  7. Engage in ongoing medical education (CME) to remain informed about the latest practices and developments in anesthesiology.

Qualifications:

  1. Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Anesthesiology.
  2. Possession of a valid California medical license or willingness to obtain one.
  3. Significant experience in administering anesthesia primarily for adult patients, with minimal pediatric exposure.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  5. Strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care with an emphasis on safety and comfort.
