About the Role:

  • Manage assigned programs with expertise in commercial lines of business, emphasizing Property and Allied Lines.
  • Develop underwriting guidelines for assigned programs and establish relationships with Program Administrators.
  • Monitor performance metrics for assigned programs and perform underwriting audits on PA book of business.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Actuarial, Legal, Claims, IT, and Operations, to develop operational and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of assigned programs.
  • Apply underwriting expertise in commercial lines of business with an emphasis on Property and Allied Lines.
  • Interact with numerous staff departments to oversee the program business.
  • Develop underwriting guidelines for assigned programs.
  • Establish and develop Program Administrator relationships.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics for assigned programs.
  • Perform underwriting audits on PA book of business.
  • Help build infrastructure by collaborating with various departments.

Requirements:

  • Strong Commercial Property and Allied Lines underwriting background.
  • Desire to learn key aspects of insurance company operations that support the program business.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all management levels and underwriting disciplines.
  • 5+ years Commercial Property underwriting experience.
  • Very strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work within a Team Environment.
  • Travel (1 time per month) required.
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
  • CPCU desired.
