Job Overview

Position Summary
We are looking for a talented pet grooming specialist to become a part of our dedicated team at Furry Critters Mobile Salon. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine love for both dogs and cats, delivering exceptional grooming services directly at clients' residences. The role involves utilizing your own vehicle to travel to various locations, where you will use the client's facilities, such as their bathtub, to wash and style pets. A portable grooming table and necessary equipment will be provided to ensure a professional grooming experience.

This position is initially part-time, intended to assist with existing clients while our team member recovers from an injury. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time position as we expand our clientele.

Compensation
Compensation will be structured as a 50% commission on services rendered, in addition to tips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to clients' homes using your own vehicle.
  • Wash, brush, and style the fur of dogs and cats according to the preferences of pet owners.
  • Perform grooming tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and ensuring overall hygiene.
  • Handle pets with care and compassion throughout the grooming process.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming needs.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized grooming area at each location.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pet grooming or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with various breeds and their unique grooming requirements.
- Ability to handle animals safely and with patience.
- Excellent customer service skills for effective interaction with pet owners.
- Certification in pet grooming or completion of a recognized grooming program is required.
- Proficiency in grooming cats, including lion cuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and bathing.
