The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, performing various imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and obtain consent.
- Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff as needed.
- Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures.
- Work within the MRI Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures.
- Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the department.
- Complete required documentation accurately and immediately after completing each case.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or ARMRIT certification.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
- Vocational School Graduate.
HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is a 317-bed acute care hospital that offers a wide range of surgical and medical services. We have distinguished ourselves as a pioneer in breakthroughs in orthopedic care and joint replacement. Our Center for Behavioral Health offers inpatient child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric services. Our outpatient services include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and a 24-hour behavioral health support hotline. We are a certified Baker Act Receiving Facility.
