Carvana is seeking a Facility Maintenance Associate to support our operations. Reporting to the Facilities Manager or designated supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Associate will be responsible for routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks across all auction facilities.
It is essential to understand, practice, and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a tidy work environment while fostering a friendly atmosphere.
- Address customer complaints amicably and inform management of any significant issues.
- Perform dusting, sweeping, and mopping of all common areas within the auction facilities. Ensure all equipment, countertops, furniture, and fixtures are dusted regularly.
- Vacuum office spaces at least every other day.
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris from various areas, ensuring proper disposal in designated collection points.
- Clean restrooms daily, restocking soap and personal items as needed.
- Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas on a daily basis, ensuring counters are wiped down and floors are swept/mopped.
- Weekly cleaning of auction block areas, including trash removal, dusting, and vacuuming. Wipe down monitors with a dry cloth to eliminate dust and debris.
- Wash windows in common areas as required.
- Ensure that entrances and surrounding areas are clear of debris prior to sales.
- Carry out any additional cleaning and custodial tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager or designated supervisor.
Additional Duties:
- Replenish supplies in assigned areas.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the Facilities Manager of any shortages.
- Report equipment malfunctions and necessary maintenance to the Facilities Manager.
- During sales events, oversee restrooms and kitchen areas to ensure they are fully stocked.
- Uphold and promote the company’s Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial services is preferred.
- Must be self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Must understand and adhere to company policies in all areas.
- Candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
