About the Role

At CHI St. Anthony Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and safety. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in our team, providing evaluation and therapeutic management for patients with speech, language, and/or cognitive disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' abilities and limitations
• Establish treatment goals based on the evaluation, reason for the referral, and team interaction
• Administer therapy according to the established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment, and techniques within the scope of practice of Speech Pathology
• Educate the patient and caregiver about the goals of the program, methods of accomplishing goals, how to perform the home program, and injury prevention
• Recommend adaptive equipment, complete the equipment justification forms, and arrange for the delivery of the equipment
• Re-evaluate patients, assess their progress, and make recommendations regarding discharge

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology and completion of CFY year
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competencies in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Oregon Speech Pathologist license
• Current AHA BLS Level C certificate within one (1) month of hire
