The Travel Nurse RN position at Dickenson Community Hospital offers a unique opportunity for qualified nursing professionals to engage in diverse clinical environments while providing essential patient care.
Certification Requirements- BLS/BCLS certification is mandatory.
- This role is situated in a 10-bed unit.
- To qualify as a traveler, candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the hospital's service area.
- Orientation sessions commence on Sundays, with initial online training modules.
- Travelers may begin their assignments any Sunday, provided all compliance documentation is submitted by the required deadlines.
- The hospital reserves the right to cancel or call off one shift biweekly without incurring financial penalties if there is a reduction in patient census.
- Additional shifts beyond the committed schedule may be flexibly adjusted in response to hospital needs without penalty.
- Contracted RN/LPN team members are encouraged to participate actively in the education and support of nursing students.
- Responsibilities include providing clinical education alongside patient care across various nursing specialties.
- To be eligible as a traveler, candidates must adhere to the 100-mile radius rule.
- Submissions of candidates residing within this radius will not be accepted.
- The hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial repercussions if patient census decreases.
- There is a requirement of 16 hours of non-billable orientation.
All nursing professionals are expected to engage in clinical education responsibilities in addition to delivering high-quality patient care.
