Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fine Arts Extension Agent to join our team. As a key member of our Cooperative Extension Program, you will be responsible for developing, conducting, and delivering educational programs in fine arts to build a dynamic arts culture in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement educational programs in music, poetry, performing arts, painting, and other fine arts disciplines.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance arts initiatives and develop new opportunities for arts engagement.
  • Conduct community needs assessments to determine program priorities and develop materials to promote arts education.
  • Provide outreach activities and volunteer training to support local programs.
  • Maintain records and submit reports as required by the Kentucky Extension Reporting System.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Family and Consumer Science or a closely related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field, preferably in Extension or non-formal education.
  • Excellent team building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain a personal commitment to working with diverse clientele and colleagues.
  • Expert use of Microsoft applications, including Vista, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift large boxes up to 40 pounds, travel, and work evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle for official duty travel are required.
