Center Student Programs Specialist

Overview
LMI is seeking a highly skilled professional to support the NASA Internship Program at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. As a Center Student Programs Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing a quality, hands-on experiential learning experience for talented students from diverse academic institutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support to NASA Johnson Space Center, ensuring seamless execution of internship activities.
- Manage the online application and registration system for internships, fellowships, academic, research, professional development opportunities, and other learning experiences.
- Develop and deliver educational workshops in-person and virtually for students and adult learners, promoting STEM education and career development.
- Collaborate with center-based points of contact to ensure effective communication and engagement.
- Support recruitment activities to attract a diverse cohort of participants, leveraging your expertise in customer relationship management.
- Review and analyze applications, aiding in the selection of a diverse group of participants.
- Develop and track key performance indicators and measures of success, providing data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze and summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Draft data collection methodologies and coordinate with relevant organizations to ensure effective implementation.
- Perform special projects as requested, demonstrating your adaptability and flexibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
- 5 years of related experience
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
