Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care in an outpatient clinic environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Mentor new staff and students, evaluating their clinical performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and maintain effective employee relations.
- Prepare patients for procedures and conduct initial assessments, accurately documenting medical histories and performing triage as needed.
- Develop nursing histories and communicate care recommendations to appropriate practitioners.
- Utilize clinical expertise to address complex patient and physician issues independently.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy by employing effective communication techniques.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and manage necessary reports and statistics.
- Ensure the clinic is well-stocked with supplies and equipment, conducting daily inspections for compliance with policies and standards.
- Schedule patient appointments and relay information promptly to patients.
- Communicate effectively with hospitals and nursing homes, ensuring timely information transfer.
- Facilitate the receipt and communication of test results to patients.
- Complete orientation checklists and initiate patient education as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement appropriate care plans.
- Engage in problem-solving and coordinate patient care under physician supervision.
Maintain professional development through ongoing education and training to stay current with industry trends.
Work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and care teams to enhance overall patient care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
No specific educational requirements; however, candidates must meet the qualifications for licensure as mandated by the relevant authority.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience is required.
Licensure Requirement:
Candidates must possess a valid Tennessee RN license and complete annual CPR and OSHA training.
