Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate various electromechanical respiration equipment to assist patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosolized drugs to patients as needed.
  • Review physician's requests to determine requirements for tests and/or treatments.
  • Assist medical nursing staff as requested, including introduction of respiratory care modalities.
  • Perform various procedures, including obtaining arterial blood gas samples, administering IPPB and handheld aerosol treatments, and setting up oxygen delivery appliances.

Qualifications
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (required)
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (required)
  • BLS (CPR) certification (required)
  • NRP certification (preferred)
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (required)
