We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team at Excela Health. As an EVS Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, public areas, and ancillary areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Collect and dispose of regulated and non-regulated waste, soiled linens, and materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Operate various cleaning equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
- Assist with daily cleaning requests from customers and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet hospital standards of cleanliness and adhere to departmental work patterns and cleaning steps.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The incumbent must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
