POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Research Specialist who meets the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Collaborative, driven, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Laboratory Research Specialist will be tasked with designing and executing experiments independently, while receiving guidance and prioritization from the supervisor. The role includes preparing and presenting data, as well as maintaining rigorous standards for scientific documentation.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects of low complexity; conducting feasibility studies, design characterization, and validation testing for new product development.
  • Planning, sourcing, and managing materials necessary for research activities.
  • Drafting experimental protocols and comprehensive reports.
  • Analyzing and summarizing experimental data.
  • Assisting in the transition of new products to manufacturing and providing technical support for regulatory submissions.
  • Offering post-launch support for complaint investigations, corrective actions, and product enhancements.
  • Maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Contributing to daily laboratory upkeep and maintenance tasks.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Providing assistance in manufacturing when required.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Capability to design and conduct experiments autonomously.
  • Efficiency in completing tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and present data in a clear and scientifically valid manner.
  • Knowledge of assay troubleshooting and development techniques.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing job demands and priorities.
  • Proficiency in navigating various software applications.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience working under FDA/ISO regulations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, clinical chemistry, or a similar field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
