POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing Assembler

COMPENSATION: $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rework surface mount technology (SMT) components.
  • Implement modifications based on Engineering Change Orders.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards.
  • Identify common defects in assemblies, including soldering issues and PCB cleaning problems.
  • Modify and repair products in accordance with established documentation and procedures.
  • Perform intricate tasks on component boards, utilizing fine-pitch soldering techniques.
  • Utilize Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Orders, and process work orders to guarantee accuracy and quality.
  • Remove and replace various components, including resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits.
  • Follow standard work documentation, including diagrams and written instructions, while applying specialized knowledge for product rework.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and product integrity.
  • Manage multiple assignments while addressing deviations from accepted practices.
  • Maintain consistent attendance to support quality workflow.
  • Perform additional duties as required to uphold quality and accuracy.

Required Skills:

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software.
  • Assembly and Inspection: Experience in assembly and inspection processes, with a solid understanding of IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Attention to detail is critical in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated and capable of working effectively within a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in component removal and replacement is necessary.
  • Familiarity with SMT fine-pitch components is required.
  • Ability to identify common component defects and apply proper soldering techniques.
