About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Extension Agent to join our team at Louisiana State University. As an essential member of our organization, you will play a vital role in conducting agricultural-based research and extending knowledge to the people of the state.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research in agriculture-related areas, including but not limited to crop management, soil science, and entomology.
  • Developing and implementing educational programs for farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and partners to identify research priorities and develop strategic plans for program implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
