  • Collaborate with production supervisors to communicate repair functions and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Identify and report safety hazards and quality deficiencies to maintenance management.
  • Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed to perform job functions.
  • Enter data into maintenance and inventory software systems.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, including sweeping, washing, painting, and trash removal.
  • Provide occasional assistance with production needs.

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Specialist will work in an unconditioned workspace, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety. The environment may be warm in the summer and cool in the winter, with potential hazards such as wet, oily floors and extreme cold temperatures when handling dry ice.

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment with a maintenance background.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and ammonia experience.
  • High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn and repair production equipment.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and ability to take direction.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with basic math skills.
  • Proficient with data entry and maintenance software systems.
  • Able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Mental and Physical Demands:

The Maintenance Specialist must be able to function safely in a noisy environment with elevated levels of CO2 vapor, think clearly during time-sensitive outages, and safely lift items weighing at least 50 pounds.
