Job Description
We are seeking an experienced System Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing physical and virtual infrastructure using Dell servers, NetApp storage arrays, Client clusters, and VMware vSphere.
You will perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and hardware and software components patching. Additionally, you will monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Your expertise in implementing and maintaining robust backup and disaster recovery solutions will ensure business continuity.
Systems Reliability and Performance
As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high infrastructure availability and performance. You will conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems to improve efficiency and reduce latency. Furthermore, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, including hardware failures, network problems, and virtualization issues.
In this role, you will also participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Automation and Orchestration
We utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform and Ansible, to automate infrastructure deployments and configurations. As a System Infrastructure Specialist, you will develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
Collaboration and Communication
You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components. Effective communication with stakeholders regarding infrastructure status, issues, and resolutions is essential. Additionally, you will work with vendors for support and problem resolution.
Security and Compliance
You will implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure platforms. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards is crucial. You will work closely with the cyber security team to remediate 0-day issues.
