We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. on a night shift schedule, working 7 on and 7 off.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and medication management services in our acute care hospital pharmacy. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to teamwork.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile solutions, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists.
- Participate in medication use evaluations, formulary management, and other quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and medication management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, including new medications, therapies, and technologies.
- Licensure as a pharmacist in the State of California.
- Two years of experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy.
- Current knowledge of drugs, their composition, actions, uses, toxic effects, dosage, availability, and distribution.
- Ability to work tactfully with patients, public, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Superior ability to work independently and as part of a team.
