Addiction Medicine Specialist Opportunity

Schedule: 1 day per week (6 hours) - Portland, 2 days per week (6 hours daily) - Lewiston
This is a unique opportunity to join a team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting. As a Part Time Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading our medical team in providing individualized treatment integrating pharmacotherapy, clinical counseling, recovery support and medical services to adults in a variety of modalities and settings. Primary Responsibilities:
- Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
- Conducting history and physical exams.
- Documenting patient information into the EMR and ordering medication.
- Monitoring patient dosages and consulting with high-risk patients.
- Performing annual medication reviews.
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Board eligible in addiction medicine.
- At least 6 months of experience in addiction medicine and 6 months of primary care experience.
- Medicaid and Medicare provider.
- Licensed in the state of Maine.
